About

I am an assistant professor at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in South Korea. Prior to SKKU, I worked at Microsoft Project Turing and an autonomous driving startup, Nuro. I completed my PhD at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019, advised by Prof Alex Berg. My PhD research focus was to directly optimize generalization performance through meta learning and its application to visual object tracking. My current research interests span the field of machine learning, meta-learning, generative models, and reinforcement learning.
